Advtech's education offering - it owns a range of brands such as Varsity College, Crawford, Abbott College and brand communications school Vega - is generally pricey. But as CEO Frank Thompson points out: "South Africans have always valued education, and there is a culture of paying for it. Our revenue should be seen as coming from investment rather than consumption expenditure. We don't see the education market as cyclical."
