Earnings for the year to August 2006 were a record US$85,6m. Unlike many of the platinum juniors, Aquarius has cash available for new opportunities, as in the Bushveld Complex. The company has been popular with investors because it's more tradable than many platinum companies, accounting for 21% of the Nedbank junior mining index in October.
Earnings in the sector are expected to show strong growth for at least another year, though the rand will inevitably be influential.
