Pinnacle has proved to be one of the success stories of the IT-listings boom, and management has delivered on its promise of growing it into a leading IT hardware and software group. Much of Pinnacle's current success dates back to a bold decision taken in 1998, when a five-year strategic plan was adopted that would alter the focus from that of a component distribution model to a corporate supply model.
In the process Pinnacle has grown its Proline desktop computer range into a formidable competitor, with a manufacturing facility capable of supplying up to 37 800 units per month. There's also a range of impressive franchises like Canon and Panasonic. Expanding demand from government, corporate and private sectors should help underpin further progress.
