The brainchild of the wunderkind of the SA hotel industry, Hans Enderle, City Lodge has been riding a wave of optimism in the past few years. That followed a hiccup in the local industry in the late 1990s, when not enough new capacity was taken up by foreign tourists. City Lodge's formula is simple: good, clean, no-frills hospitality at an affordable price. And it's not just local tourists who like the formula: foreigners account for about 15% of revenues. Enderle and his management team are looking for a new strategic investment partner.
