Energy Africa has a remarkably successful track record, strong financial resources and exciting prospects. The company is involved in oil and gas exploration off the West African coast and is spending US$100m on new projects this year. That's why it caught the attention of Malaysian oil giant Petronas, which tried to buy out minorities last year. A bitter struggle ended in victory for the minority shareholders who supported existing management. But Petronas, which still holds 54%, may well come back for a second bite at the cherry. Shareholders can only benefit.
